A Life Retreat tradition was started for our church. Several families and individuals reserved their rooms prior and then made the short trip to Sarina Boutique Hotel in Phnom Penh.
The hotel was small but lovely with a nice deep swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation. The rooms made for nice accommodations for our group.
Our schedule included bible study times where we learned how to detoxify our Christian lives. We had four different teachers that helped us with entitlement, anxiety, purposelessness, and depression. After our lessons we split into small groups where we able to share our reactions and personal experiences on these topics. Then the small groups prayed together. We all agreed later these small group sessions were so beneficial that we wanted the time to be extended even!
The meals, swimming and relaxation periods were also enjoyed by all. With many positive feedbacks the pastor and his wife hope that even more folks will attend future retreats.
